Spring is just around the corner, and not a moment too soon.
The weather certainly was a factor in the February statistics. Inventory increased in practically every market and closed sales were anemic as buyers were overwhelmed by the rain and cold weather; even I took some time off to escape to Hawaii for a much needed vacation. Millbrae however, had an exceptional run up in the Median Sales Price, as prices in Daly City and San Bruno also rose. Foster City on the other hand, pulled back as did Pacifica. As season changes can produce confusing weather patterns, it can also produce uncharacteristic housing statistics.
